Computer Assisted legal research is considered as an important part of legal research because of its speed, the quantum of material that can be searched at any given point of time, the efficiency of the legal research and variety of legal resources that are available to the researcher. It provides the researcher with huge information which may be useful to her or him for conducting the research successfully. The two normally used computer based legal research are LexisNexis and Westlaw. It helps to conduct a search of cases, statutes, constitutions, administrative regulations, and all other legal authorities and references that would be needed by any researcher.
