Should Social Security benefits be expanded, reduced, or kept at the same level?

Answer 1

Social security is all about an individual's security and protection by the societal norms and regulations. In other words, when an individual lives in a society he gets benefit from several rules and facilities given by society and its members. This security helps in his development and enables him to live a comfortable and secured life.
As per my opinion, social security benefits should be expanded and increased. This way people in society will feel more secured, relaxed and comfortable which is a very good thing and one must always strive to be more physically involved in social security causes. This will definitely affect the security norms and will take it to high level.

Question 2

If you were mentally competent but physically incapacitated, would you agree to being placed in a nursing home?

Answer 2

Mentally competent people can perform and do their daily requirement acts wherever they are. These people can at least think about improving their physically disabled condition. For physically incompetent people, there are several other people who would be there for them to make them do their tasks that are required by them on a daily basis.
If I were mentally competent but physically incapacitated, I would definitely agree to being placed in a nursing home because there I would be provided with several people who would help me to perform my daily requirement acts. And this way I would get time to mentally think on improving my condition and work to earn my economic means.

Question 3

If you were physically and mentally healthy and in your 70s, would you continue to be employed?

Answer 3

Age is just a number and it has nothing to do with being employed or not. Ofcourse there are norms under which an individual retires at a certain age and is no longer employed by professional companies. But still after retirement an individual can be employed by himself in contributing towards society and earning good money from the same.
If I were mentally and physically fit and healthy in my 70s, I would definitely continue to be employed because I think an individual must work till the last day of his life. As this will make him active and he lives a long healthy and content life. Thus I will definitely work in my 70s and my physical and mental condition will not become a hindrance in my work.

Question 4

Do the terminally ill have a duty to end their lives as soon as they can?
