Define a multiple single-segment profile tolerance.
A multiple single-segment profile tolerance is where two or more profile tolerances are applied to a surface (or collection of surfaces) relative to different datums. When using multiple single-segment profile, different levels of control of part characteristics can be achieved by using different tolerance values and adding, removing, or changing datum references.

In certain cases, the function of a part may require that a surface be located relative to a datum reference frame. This may be accomplished with a profile of a surface tolerance. In this application, profile is applied to a planar surface, and the following conditions apply:
1. The profile tolerance is applied to a true profile.
2. The true profile is related to the datum reference frame with basic dimensions.
3. The datum reference frame is three orthogonal planes.
4. The tolerance zone is a boundary 1.0mm wide centered on the true profile.
5. There are no additional tolerances available.
6. All surface elements must be located within the tolerance zone.
7. The tolerance zone limits deviations in location, orientation, and form.
