The repercussions on the environment can be reduced by the efforts of every human beings as the damage to the environment is done by the human beings for their benefit and is done foolishly in such an extent that the climate has changed drastically majorly because of the human actions like-
• The temperature of the climate has increased
• The glaciers have melted at a high pace
• The species are getting extinct
• The floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters are occurring frequently
The actions that can be performed on an individual level to shrink the pessimistic repercussions on the environment are-
1. Purchasing fewer products-
• Buy the excess products only if required
• Do not buy things that are not in use just to impress others
• Use the items for as long as possible
• Do not replace the items because the new product or variety is available
• Books can be taken from the library rather than buying or can be borrowed from friends
2. Excess packaging can be avoided
• Reusable or jute bags can be utilized for shopping
• Polybags for small items can be avoided
• The packaging material can be used which are reusable and recyclable
3. Disposable items can be avoided
• Instead of serviettes, cloth napkins, handkerchiefs, and towels can be used
• Washable cups, plates, and utensils should be used instead of single-use items
• Pens, razor, cameras with replaceable parts should be used
4. Energy should be conserved
• Prefer walking, or using bicycles or public transport can save energy
• Lights, air conditions, the heater should be switched off when not in use
• Trips can be pooled with other people on the same route can be adopted
5. Water should be saved
• Lawns and garden should be watered only when required
• Advance flushes in which less water is required can be installed
• Flushes connected with toilets can be installed
• The faucets should be closed when not required
• The vehicles can be washed only when required but not very often as a lot of water is used for washing the water
