Deck 15: Whats Next for Geospatial Technology
1
Describe the basics of how a GeoWall system enables the user to see images in stereoscopic 3D.
In short,a GeoWall system has two projectors that can display the same image, just somewhat offset. The two images are passed through filters that polarize the light, which then strikes a special screen that preserves the polarized light. This then gets reflected to a viewer wearing special polarized glasses that allow one to see the items on the screen in a "3D" appearance.
