Subject: your recovery
Dad,
Mom called me on my cell phone late last night, to tell me that you have not been feeling good over the past few days because your medications are making you dizzy and weak. However, the doctor said that by taking your medicines regularly, your condition should improve within weeks. I know that you'll feel a lot more better then. Remember that following the doctor's orders close is the only way to recovery. Sticking with the plan, your heath sure will return and you can face the future more confident than ever.
You are lucky that your lungs suffered only minor damage. Smoking cigarettes for that long, serious illnesses could have been contracted. Of course we all pray that you never smoke again. Going back to cigarettes, your current struggle to get healthy will have been for nothing. Remember that a full recovery never comes quick. However, each day your condition will improve, slow but sure. You will actually feel yourself getting more and more stronger as the months without cigarettes pass. Your sense of smell will return, and foods will taste more better than ever. Your clothes will stop stinking so bad, too. Finally, your urge to have a smoke will become less stronger, and you will wonder what made you start smoking in the first place.
