Carlos Lopez has just called to say that he lost his appointment card and cannot remember the time of his December 1 appointment. He thinks he may have a scheduling conflict. If the appointment is in the morning, he wants it changed to 2:00 the same day. If the 2:00 slot is not available, he needs to make the appointment for the next day at the earliest possible time.
1. In Office Hours, go to December 1, 2010.
2. Find out who Lopez?s doctor is by calling up the Patient/Guarantor dialog box in Medisoft. Select the Other Information tab, and check the Assigned Provider box. Then select Lopez?s provider from the Provider drop-down list in Office Hours.
3. Locate Mr. Lopez?s appointment.
4. Check to see whether 2:00 P.M., the time he wants the appointment changed to, is available.
5. Since 2:00 is not available, move to December 2 on the calendar, and see if 8:00 A.M. is available.
6. Go back to December 1. Move Mr. Lopez?s appointment from December 1 to December 2. (If you do not remember how to move an appointment, see Chapter 11.)
