RFC:
• It is an extension of Remote Function Call.
• This also has the name Request For Comments for formal document from IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) internet community.
• RFC tells about the specification of particular technology which is used when an RFC is confirmed then it becomes a formal standard document and RFC goes to IETF for drafting and reviewing until the final version is confirmed, at that time there will not be any changes or comments are allowed.

• In January 2009, the RFC with the highest number is RFC 5459 which has the title RTP Payload format update.
According to Wikipedia, there are 8200 RFC till 2017, has been introduced with title and related articles.
