INPUT CONTROLS SALES ORDER SYSTEM A vintage car parts and accessories company needs to design a new sales order processing system to handle phone and e-mail orders. The company currently has a web page where customers can browse their catalog but cannot order directly on-line. The majority of the orders are placed by phone, and the rest are placed via e-mail. All sales are via credit card or check. The phone orders need to be entered into the system as they are received. The e-mail orders, however, can be batched and submitted for data entry at the end of the day. The following information will be collected for each order:
• Customer number (if customer does not have one, one needs to be assigned) • Customer name
• Address
• Payment method (credit card or check) • Credit card number and expiration date
• Items ordered and quantity
• Unit price
