Characteristics of the uninsured:
The characteristics of the uninsured are based on three different categories such as the following:
• Age
• Income
• Work status
Determine if the characteristics of the uninsured are interrelated or not:
It is found that the characteristics of the uninsured are interrelated with one another. The age is the most important factor that is taken into consideration by the individual before insuring. By a survey, it is found that the maximum number of people being uninsured is the adult population.
The adult population is being less insured because they do not have sufficient money to be insured. Instead, they insure their kids and their old aged parents. This is considered as the important reason behind the adult population being uninsured.
The people do not get jobs according to their qualification. Hence, they are being paid low. This work status is correlated with the age and the income status. Therefore it is clear that the characteristics of the uninsured are interrelated with one another.
Ways to reduce the number of uninsured:
At first, the people do not insure for their health as they do not have sufficient money and the insurance is very costly. Hence, the insurance companies must try to reduce some amount by altering the plans of the insurance.
In addition, the individual must find ways to alter the characteristics of him/her being uninsured. Either, the individual must increase his/her income or the work status of the individual has to be changed.
Responsibility of reducing the number of uninsured:
It is the duty of every individual to insure his /her life. However, they do not insure for their life due to various reasons. The government has to identify the people who do not insure and find all the reasons behind not insuring. They must try to rectify the reasons said by the maximum number of people.
The government has to impose fine if an individual does not insure his life. By this way, the government can rectify the problems of the uninsured.
