There is no precise definition of law. LAW can be understood as a body of customary rules. It is written by legislature and enforced by the state.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF LAW:-
Law helps in keeping peace in society. It is necessary for providing social justice. The primary functions of law can be described hereunder:
1. Law works as a guidepost for society. It establishes a standard for the better and civilized society.
2. It cultivates the adequate order in society.
3. Society is made of persons with different needs and habits. It gives birth to disputes. The law provides an adequate mean for the dissolution of disputes.
4. Law protects rights and liberties of citizen. It prohibits illegal violation of rights.
5. Organization structure is set up with the help of law.
6. It provides a safe society for individual and his assets.
Apart from the above mentioned functions it serves many other principle functions for progress of the society.
