Social Readjustment Rating Scale
Everybody is confronted by both major and minor changes in the workplace and in their private lives. Some of these changes are predictable and some are not; some can be controlled and others cannot. The following list contains 43 life events. Please record the frequency with which you have confronted each of these within the past 12 months.

After you have gone through the list, compute your score by multiplying the assigned points times the number of times a specific event has occurred and summing the totals. Use the following information to interpret your score:
If your total score is under 150, your level of stress, based on life change, is low. If your score is between 150 and 300, your stress levels are borderline-you should minimize other changes in your life at this time. If your score is over 300, your life change level of stress is high-you should not only minimize any other changes in your life and work but should strive to practice some stress intervention techniques.
