Review "The Saccharin Scare" box on page 14. If you were investigating a possible saccharin-cancer link today, how would you improve on the design of the experiments conducted in the 1970s? Also, develop a hypothesis that could explain why more male than female rats developed tumors. Design an experiment that would help you test your hypothesis.
