A manager is an employee in an organization who takes charge to lead a group of people. A manager is liable to allocate resources, and supervises work assigned to each member of the team.
Non-managerial employees work under managers, and are also responsible for completion of the task assigned to them.
The difference between managerial employee and non-managerial employee are as below:
1. Manager differs from non-managerial employee in terms of responsibilities. Non-managerial employee is responsible for a particular operation to take place. But, a manager would be responsible for the performance and consistency of the sub-ordinates under him or her.
2. Manager and non-managerial employee differ in terms of span of control. The span of control of a manager is wider when compared to non-managerial employee i.e. a manager supervises his or her sub-ordinates that are accountable. Non-managerial employees' span of control is narrow in nature. He or she is pertained to his or her own operation, but do not monitor their sub-ordinate's duties.
