Exercise 12

Using Google Earth, find an undeveloped ecosystem somewhere on the planet that you can zoom in on to observe some features. For example, find a forest or grassland area that is undeveloped. Take careful notes on what you see. Then find such an example of a biome that has been developed, study it, and write a detailed comparison of your undeveloped and developed biome samples. If possible, check in on these systems once during your course term and again at the end of the term and describe any changes to the systems that you can observe. Suggest a hypothesis to explain any major changes.
