Synopsis of the Article:
The article is about a transformed world by the year 2025. The article refers to the global and economic power of various countries changing in future. Some of the countries that are currently considered as developed will lose their power and the developing countries will possess more power. The international system will be a multipolar one as there will be many countries that will come to power. This has been explained by the author with the help of some current examples along with a glimpse of how the future will look in 2025.
Reasons for author's view:
The author believes that there will be a change in power and there are going to be multiple places which will have power in the international system. The reason for such a view is that there are many developing countries in the world that are having rapid economic growth as well as creating an impact on the world. These countries will eventually turn out to be powerful.
The author view is based on the following:
• Other economic players: There are many developing countries that will emerge as the main players in the market leading to a change in the economic order.
• New international order or transition: The countries that were earlier in power will now lose their position and a new international order will be created.
• Role of terrorism: There will be conflicts among the various countries for resources which will also influence the economic order.
• Diminishing power of the country US: The country US is currently in power and one of the important developed countries of the world. But in future the power of the country will be lost.
Thus, these are the reasons for the author's view that economic growth will instigate the growth in power of the emerging countries.
