A young woman in the United States today is faced with a large number of options. If she is so inclined, she can follow a career path as far and as high as her hard work and intellect will allow. On the other hand, our society still values the roles of wife and mother, and as an individual, the young woman feels the need of forming a close relationship and eventually of creating a family of her own. What stresses and strains do you foresee for the young woman? Research how a majority of women in their child-bearing years manage to reconcile the forces pulling them in opposite directions.
