Characteristics of Effective Work Groups
You have been a member of many groups in your lifetime. Some of these groups include both formal and informal groups. Examples of such groups might include your Sunday school class, your neighborhood playmates when you were younger, your soccer or baseball team, and your co-workers at your summer job. Whether a formal or informal work group, all of us have been members of a group at some time. Some of the groups have been quite effective, and some have been quite ineffective.
Recall the most effective and the most ineffective groups of which you have been a member. Prepare a description of the characteristics of both groups. Be prepared to make a five minute presentation of these characteristics in class.
