How would you define "organization development"?

Organization development allows the organization to be competent enough, and adapt to change whenever necessary. In general, organization includes diversified background of white collars, blue collars and pink collars. All together have different personality traits, talents, etc. which needs to aligned and directed to gain success.
In order to succeed, the organization is expected to encourage the individuals as follows:
• Should provide a continuous learning platform for its employees
• Empower the skill sets at each and every step of the individuals career
• Contributions made should be appreciated from time to time.
Organization development can be defined as, a behavioral science approach towards a group, inter-group, etc., to adapt change. The development of the organization lies on the effectiveness of the individual who work in group towards its desired goal. Organization development can be achieved through change in strategies, procedures, structures, etc., which allows the organization to cooperate with the change that takes place within the internal and external environment.
In other terms, organization development can be defined as, the application of behavioral science to undergo a planned interventions in organizations processes.
