Five components of the communication process are as under:
1. Stimulus is an incident that creates the need to communicate with an individual.
2. The experience, knowledge and viewpoints acts as a filter to help one to understand and decode the stimulus.
3. Message converts a verbal or non-verbal reaction to the stimulus. The objective of the sender is said to be achieved when the receiver understand the message in the same way the ender wants to communicate.
4. Medium is the way through which the information would be transmitted.
5. Destination is the location where the message is supposed to be sent. The message reaches its designation and is successful if perceived successfully by the receiver.
6. Feedback is a procedure in which information about the present period or the past affects the same phenomenon in the future. The feedback may be used to improve current strategies of the company.
7. Noise refers to the sound that creates disruption in the information communicated. Employees may be too busy to pay attention to the information provided and may disturb the process of communication.
