You are a probation officer assigned a caseload of roughly 100 offenders, many of whom have been convicted of violent offenses. Every month, you are tasked with monitoring your caseload. However, there are simply not enough hours in the month tophysically visit 100 offenders that are spread throughout your large rural county. You ask your chief probation officer for an additional officer, but he states there is nomoney. Your chief tells you to"get creative," and if need be, "find a way touse technology."
