Joe Cunningham and Mary Nesbit are novice English teachers who have been hired at Bison Central High School.Mr.Frank Robinson,a designated Master Teacher,has been assigned as their mentor and supervisor.Both Mary and Joe were selected for their positions from a pool of nearly 70 applicants.Although they have been trained well and are strong academically in their discipline,they do have concerns about how to teach problem-solving strategies to their students.Mary will teach both regular and honors English and literature to sophomores,and Joe will have both honors students and regular students in his junior English and literature classes.The two novice teachers are also expected to team-teach one class of freshmen remedial students.
