The following data were collected in a study in which dark and light moths of the peppered moth (Biston betularia) were released and recaptured a few days later in several different areas (a, b, c, and d).
-Based on these data, in which area is the light phenotype most advantageous? (Assume that recapture rates reflect the relative survival of the moths, not the ability of the investigators to find and recapture the moths.) What does this tell us about the fitness of light moths in this area?
