Read over the sensory capabilities of the newborn in Chapter 4, and then begin to think about the sensory system of your own virtual child. What did you notice in regard to hearing and seeing? Did your newborn respond to certain sounds in the environment? In addition, what did you notice about visual development? Perhaps you noted your virtual child staring longer at different aspects of the environment than others. Describe what you observed in regard to the senses of taste, touch, and smell as well.
