This chapter did alter my concept of how religion is practiced by Arab Americans. I had previously thought of Arab Americans primarily as Muslim, but learning about the variety of religious traditions they embrace showed me the complexity and diversity within the community. It also challenged any stereotypes or assumptions I may have had about Arab Americans and their religious practices. This chapter highlighted the importance of understanding and appreciating the diverse religious backgrounds within the Arab American community.
