A study was conducted among the Yaqui people in Mexico.The Yaqui who had migrated to the valley adopted Westernized agriculture,including use of pesticides and herbicides.Those who remained in the hills maintained a lower-impact form of agriculture.When the children of these two groups were examined,those in the valley had lower memory and hand-eye coordination and slower mental development than those in the hills.Yet these children were from closely related families,many of them being first cousins.Explain how they could be so different.What type(s)of inheritance might be involved?
