As we age, our bodies begin to physically change. Most people in midlife have few serious illnesses. However, with middle to late adulthood physical appearance changes and so does the function of organs within the body. Hair thins, and changes color, bones become more fragile, energy depletes easier, to name a few. This may affect the tasks individuals choose to pursue. With control of diet and exercise, these changes can be moderated. Also, attitude is important for successful aging. Being positive about aging, maintaining relationships with peers as well as taking on new challenges all contribute to healthier aging.
